Whats the point of this app? Cant search recipes, Cant access saved recipes from the website profile. What am I supposed to use this for? Why wouldnt you just make it compatible with the website?

Sharing recipes and only recipes is great. Buuuuut theres no one or no way to "follow" a (not)chef. No clear explanation as to how to properly post just says post recipe, no chance at editing/adding information once its on. Could be a useful app, just let us access it the way its supposed to be

I like the thought of this app but u should be able to follow people and also search for recipes or other users as well so that you may link with your friends also.

I cant express how awesome this app is! Its my go to app for ideas and technique. Not too many apps keep simplicity in mind and are as interesting and useful as 52. Also its neat to see others so inspired by displaying and explaining their beautiful meals as I am. Thank you 52 app developers.

Instagram for food?

I am a big, no HUGE fan of Food52, and I was eager to check this out. Strike 1 : as soon as the app was installed I searched for short ribs. Result: "Oh dear-cannot find any ingredients named Short ribs" Strike 2: I just see pictures in the search results. no title, description , whether it was a contest winner etc. Strike 3: There is no comment from the author or the editors, unlike what I am accustomed to reading in every recipe. Please, take this app off. It is emabarassing.

Have had this app for ages. Has gotten so much better recently. Highly inspirational. Nice work.

Wont let me post photos. App closes itself whenever I try to. APP CRASHES!!!

Love this idea and using it but since u cant follow anyone it is hard to go back to cooks pages you really like and be inspired.

This is a cool idea, and I enjoy swiping through the pictures for inspiration, but half the time I click on one picture and an entirely different one shows up. No, this is not a fat thumbs issue. The app has some real programming problems. Fix those, and youve got a fun app.

Randomly look at pictures of food that you can search by only one ingredient and then not find a recipe for it? Who thought this was useful? How about an app that lets you search Food52 recipes instead?

Not an actual recipe app, but more a repository of shared food ideas and fun photos of other peoples food. I get a lot of inspiration from this app.

The app is brain candy for tastes and ideas.

I love this app. As the name indicates its NOT a recipe app. Its more like a cooking version of Pinterest. A food mood board. Its not for beginners who are looking to learn to cook but for people who already know how to cook and wing it but need inspiration.

I deleted this App because there are no recipes! For heavens sake, charge for it and give recipes!

This app could be sooooo cool! But they put too much effort in making it look sexy without thinking the functionality through. I want to be able to look at the profiles of everyone who likes my photos. I want to be able to delete recipes after the app messed up the photo. Id love to have a search bar. Overall, the app is awesome conceptually but needs a developmental overhaul.

Pretty good overall, BUT there needs to be a way to delete or edit your posts. And a feed to see all your likes and comments would be useful. Also a way to follow other users to more easily see their posts. This is essentially Instagram for food people, and it mostly delivers on your expectations- but a few more features would make it a bit more functional and enjoyable to use. Off to a great start, though.

What a great idea! Its my ideal food only Instagram :) I do wish I could search for a particular ingredient and give feedback in the app. Love the recognized ingredient lists!
